SOULWALK IN SOBRIETY
The ‘emotional’ stage of relapse begins with one or more of the following emotional symptoms: restlessness, irritability, defensiveness, discontentment, mood swings and emotional reactivity. These can be (externally), obvious signs of 'pre-lapse’, while underlying symptoms of fears, anxieties, resentments, depression and, especially shame, are likely to be suppressed, (internally).
This "EMOTIONAL" first stage of relapse is the easiest to overcome. The SWS program will teach you to intercept escalating negative emotions that precede addiction relapse.
The 2nd and 3rd stages of relapse will cause a rapid spiral to relapse. Once in the midst of ‘mental’ relapse (2nd stage), the addict is ‘thinking and imagining’ using/drinking and where to go to obtain it. The third is the ‘physical’ stage of relapse; the addict is on their way to obtaining their addiction.
SoulWalk In Sobriety's addiction relapse program conditions the mind to repeatedly
self-reflect and cognitively shift one’s focus internally for a resolution to emotional conflict, stress, and discord. Inherent in this process is the assimilation of a solidified relationship with self, based upon emotional availability, promoting sustainable emotional autonomy.
